Unimpressed

Sweet One's beau and his mother showed at the party on Saturday.

He is okay, but not cute at all.

His mom was okay, but not great.

She is a real estate agent. Sometime during the course of her stay, she left business cards on my coffee table, as well as the dining table which housed all the desserts.

I was pissed.

Tacky, tacky, tacky...

She had the good sense not to seek me out when she returned to retrieve her spawn once the party was over.

Oooh, that was indeed horribly tacky to try to use your party as an opportunity to drum up business for herself. Shame...

Spawn? ;) That about says it all, doesn't it?

You are kidding me. She left her business cards at your house? Holy tackola. Well, hopefuly she'll get over this crush and pronto...lol!

oh dear. this is not starting out well at all.

Oh man, that IS bad - there is NO excusing that. I did know a gal (who dated my ex-husband when we split) who was in real estate though, and she'd have done the same thing. Maybe it's a "thing" to not have couth when you're wantin' to sell some houses. Either way, it's ickiola.

Not just tacky. Rude. I would SO not buy a house from that woman.

The funny thing is, a friend of a friend (as in not my friend - aka uninvited guest) also showed up and left her cards right next to the Spawn's mother...

Holy Cannoli!

What the hell do these people think??

I had a montage set up in the foyer of pictures of the house actually burning, in addition to the aftermath. That's one of the places they left their cards...

What do you about insensitive louts who leave their business cards lying around? Oh, I'm sure you can think of something.

A few things come to my mind:
(1) Pledge $1000 for them to the Move0nDotOrg;
(2) Send a request for literature to the Watcht0wer (asking if the Society had anyone who could drop by and explain "Paradise Earth");
(3) Pass out their business cards down at drug rehab half-way house; or
(4) Sign them up for a trial subscription to "The Pedera$t".

But I'm sure you can do better.

Ack! How positively rude. Seriously, what gets into people?

Posted by: oddybobo at March 27, 2007 12:11 PM

Eeeeewwwww. Tacky McTacky. What is *wrong* with people?!?!?

Posted by: Richmond at March 27, 2007 06:20 PM

I agree. Leaving a realtor's business card under pictures of a house burning is tacky. And I don't think she realized what message she was sending. Still, while she seems a bit mercenary in her tactics, like a used car salesman, it doesn't necessarily follow that her son is cut from the same cloth. Time will tell. Either way, Sweet is not likely to be with this one too long.

I once had a guest at a party who went around asking people to sign a petition for his political agenda. I was mortified because his political stance was something I absolutely did not support. Not to mention how incredibly rude it was of him to hijack my party. Oy. Some people are just so....Tacky!
